Can you play Battlefield 6 on a Mac?
Short answer: No. Battlefield 6 uses EA Javelin, a kernel-mode anti-cheat that requires Secure Boot and blocks Wine/Proton, so it won't run through Grapple.
What we know
EA says its anticheat uses kernel-mode protections on PC, and Battlefield 6's EA Javelin Anticheat also requires Secure Boot to be enabled.
Reporting at launch found that Javelin actively blocks Linux platforms, and AreWeAntiCheatYet lists Battlefield 6 as denied on Linux/Proton. Proton and Grapple are both built on Wine.
Steam lists Battlefield 6 for Windows only, with DirectX 12.
What to do instead
There are no Grapple settings that get around a kernel-level anti-cheat block, and we won't suggest workarounds that could get your account banned. If the publisher offers cloud streaming, that runs on a Mac; otherwise it needs a Windows PC.

Why doesn't Battlefield 6 work with Grapple?
Battlefield 6 relies on EA Javelin Anticheat, which uses a kernel-mode driver on Windows. Grapple is built on Wine, which runs Windows programs in user space without a Windows kernel, so that driver can't load — and the publisher doesn't allow Wine-based layers. The same applies to CrossOver and other Wine-based tools. Only the game's developer can change that.
Will a future Grapple update make Battlefield 6 work?
Not by itself. Anti-cheat blocks like this are decided by the publisher, not by compatibility tools. If the publisher changes its policy, we'll re-test and update this page.
Is there a Mac version of Battlefield 6?
Steam doesn't offer a macOS build of Battlefield 6; it's listed for Windows only.
