Can you play EA SPORTS Madden NFL 27 on a Mac?
Short answer: No. Madden NFL 27 requires EA Javelin Anticheat's Windows kernel driver, which Wine-based tools like Grapple can't load.
What we know
Steam's store page for Madden NFL 27 discloses "Uses Kernel Level Anti-Cheat: EA Javelin Anticheat — Requires manual removal after game uninstall". EA's own write-up calls its anti-cheat kernel-mode and lists Windows 10 and Windows 11 as the only supported systems.
Grapple is built on Wine, which runs Windows programs in user space without a Windows kernel. A kernel-mode anti-cheat driver has nothing to load into, and no Grapple setting changes that — only the game's publisher can.
GamingOnLinux's anti-cheat list records Madden NFL 27 as broken on Linux, as it does the previous Madden releases. Proton, the Linux equivalent of Grapple's engine, is built on Wine.
Steam lists Madden NFL 27 for Windows only, with DirectX 12.
